How do I get started?

The first step is submitting a booking request through the Book a Session page. Benjamin will follow up within one to two business days to confirm availability and answer any initial questions.

What does the initial consultation involve?

The initial consultation is a 30-minute session to discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no pressure to continue after the first session.

Question 3

Do you accept insurance?

Accepted Answer

This is a private-pay practice. Sessions are not billed through insurance. A superbill can be provided upon request if you wish to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider independently.

What are your fees?

The initial consultation is $100 for 30 minutes. Individual therapy sessions are $250 for 60 minutes. Extended sessions are $350 for 80 minutes.

How do telehealth sessions work?

Sessions are conducted through a secure telehealth platform. You will receive a link prior to your appointment. For the best experience, join from a private location with a stable internet connection.

What if I am traveling during a scheduled session?

Because telehealth regulations depend on where a client is physically located during a session, please let Benjamin know in advance if you will be outside Maryland. Depending on your location, we may need to reschedule.

What happens if the connection drops?

If the video connection is interrupted, Benjamin will attempt to reach you by phone. Please ensure your contact number is current and that you are in a location with reliable internet access before your session begins.

Is telehealth confidential?

Reasonable measures are taken to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all telehealth sessions. Clients are encouraged to participate from a private location with a secure internet connection whenever possible. Electronic communications involve certain inherent risks, which will be discussed in your intake consent.

Benjamin Moss, LCSW-C, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Clinical licensed in the State of Maryland. His practice is currently focused on providing telehealth psychotherapy to clients located in Maryland.

Can I work with you if I live outside Maryland?

Telehealth psychotherapy services are provided to clients located in Maryland, subject to applicable laws and professional regulations. If you are located outside of Maryland, therapy services may be subject to the licensing and practice requirements of the jurisdiction in which you are physically located at the time services are provided.

Telehealth laws depend on where a client is physically located at the time of a session. If you expect to be outside of Maryland during a scheduled appointment, please let Benjamin know in advance. We may need to reschedule depending on the laws and professional regulations applicable to your location.
